Brewing the Perfect cup:
Always start with quality fresh roasted coffee and clean equipment.
Use filtered water or at least non chlorinated water for best flavor
Add 1 Tbs of coffee per cup for a base cup of coffee.
Adjust strength as required. Be sure to always clean the filter each time you brew.
Use coffee within an hour or brew a new pot. You are worth the best experience possible EVERY TIME!
Savor your cup. It is one of the few things that we universally indulge in as a people of the world.
About Us:
Early in 2003, we began roasting our own fresh coffee in our kitchen. Quickly the demand from our friends and family for fresh roasted coffee was such that our hobby grew out of our house and into a full fledged roastery. The purchase of our commercial roaster marked the birth of Watergap Coffee Co. nestled in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains in North Eastern Pennsylvania.
Training in the proper roasting and sampling of coffees (called: cupping) became paramount to providing you the best product we could find. Working with other roasters and coffee brokers has been a great influence on the coffee choices we have made. Drawing on their vast experienced has given our product line a leg-up on consistent taste and quality.
When ordering, keep in mind your order will be roasted fresh to order. Ground the way you like it and packaged in resealable bags for convenience.
Why Fresh?
The reason is simple. We use only the finest beans we can get our hands on. Since we are not mass producing coffee, we can afford to be a lot more choosy about the estates we purchase from. We cup hundreds of coffee each year. Then we produce a quality product by maintaining a high integrity of product handling to give you an exceptional product.
Your coffee is delivered fresh to your door within days of roasting to preserve the flavor and freshness. Although coffee crops, weather, and international ties with dictate our product lines, we maintained a standard set of regional coffees that are ever present. each region carries a distinct characteristics that we believe show the diversity with in the coffee industry. All of our coffees are 100% Arabica Beans.
Our product line is ever expanding with special gift items appearing seasonally to help you find just the right gift. Box sets, mugs, sampler packs and coffee tours in 3, 6, and 12 months are available.
